ME+EM Awarded A Royal Warrant

2026 marked the year ME+EM got the official royal stamp of approval, in more ways than one. In April, we were honoured to be granted a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty the Queen. It’s a huge milestone for ME+EM, and it only cements us further as the experts in British modern luxury. And in June, our founder + CEO, Clare Hornby, was appointed an OBE - that’s Officer of the Order of the British Empire - in His Majesty The King’s Birthday 2026 Honours List, for services to the fashion industry. Let us tell you what this achievement means for the brand.

What is a Royal Warrant?
In short, the Royal Warrant is an official mark of recognition for brands and companies that regularly supply goods and services to the Royal Household. They’re issued by senior members of the royal family, known as grantors, and they last up to five years.
For us, receiving a Royal Warrant is a recognition of the quality of our product, as well as the measures we’ve taken to be a fair and responsible business.
How is the Royal Warrant appointed?
Importantly, to receive a royal warrant you must be conducting standard commercial activity with the royal household. That means they are buying items or services, not receiving them for free, and the relationship has to have been established regularly for five out of seven years.
What does it mean for ME+EM?
Aside from being a huge honour, it means we can display the Royal Arms on our website and across other parts of the business, as a sort of stamp of approval. But it doesn’t mean we’ll be making drastic changes to our prices, collections or commitments. Aside from a lot of hard work, it’s our Four Fs - flattering, fashion, functional and fair - that got us to this place, and we don’t plan on changing that promise.
