What happens when two quintessentially British things - great tailoring and going to the pub - are combined? You get the Pub Jacket.

The Pub Jacket is the cherry on top of the Heritage Collection. Smart yet relaxed, it was designed as the simple, all-encompassing answer to what to wear to the pub on the weekend, whether that involves trudging through a muddy field in wellies, a quick walk around the corner, or maybe you’re a tourist trying to fit in with the locals - so best to look the part. And while it may be an homage to our British roots and the long-held tradition of going to the pub, everything else about The Pub Jacket is modern, from the Italian puppytooth tailoring fabric to the layering-friendly boxy fit.

And it doesn’t just stop at the Pub Jacket. Discover the full Heritage Collection and how to style it below.

5 Steps for Dressing Like an English Gentlewoman

The Heritage Collection is a celebration of modern tradition, which means we have a very specific vision in mind when we think of the English Gentlewoman. It’s less about flat caps and elbow patches, and more about uniting traditional craft, contemporary design, and of course, great tailoring.

1. Layer Intelligently

The gentlewoman layers wisely through clever fabrics and considered shapes, like a crisp shirt that’s perfectly proportioned to sit under tailoring or tuck effortlessly into jeans. Or cloud-like semi-sheer textures that look just as good on their own as they do worn under a knit.

2. Texture Clash

Few looks don’t look instantly cooler with leather. A biker jacket with a houndstooth mini skirt, or a crop fitted blazer with a luxe leather pant. But texture clashing can go well beyond leather, we’re entering the most tactile season of all, so look to silk-blend velvet, fluid satin, and luxurious cashmere to add textural interest to everyday looks.

3. Just Add Jewels

This isn't your usual tweed-and-pearls pairing. A glint of gold and silver brings an instantly fresh edge to heritage pieces. Our Transformer Necklace combines strands of glass pearls and crystals for a bold pairing with four ways to wear it, delivering an instant upgrade to any look in any setting.

4. Consider Silhouette

Our shortcut to making anything modern is through silhouette. That means architectural or unexpected shapes like a pleated tailored pant in a barrel cut, a houndstooth blazer in a refreshed oversized shape or a bomber jacket with a clever double zip.

5. Surprise with Accessories

It might be the smallest addition to your wardrobe, but it has the biggest impact: the tie. The ultimate piece to add an unexpected feminine-masculine twist to any look, whether you wear it with a crisp shirt, or contrast it with a feminine collared blouse. Ours is knitted from silk yarn for a textural edge, and we’ve added an intelligent grosgrain trim for a smooth fit under collars or against your neck. For even more impact, we suggest combining it with point 3 by adding the Crystal Brooch.
