ME+EM has officially landed on the West Coast with our debut Los Angeles flagship store in Beverly Hills. We’ve brought a little bit of London with us through clever décor touches that make our new space feel like a home away from home. To celebrate our arrival, we’ve assembled the best spots around our new North Beverly Drive neighbourhood, so you can plan your perfect day.

EAT + DRINK
Nate’n Al’s
Starting off the day at your friendly neighbourhood delicatessen turned must-visit landmark, Nate’n Al’s. The deli has been a fixture of North Beverly Drive since it opened in 1945 and a favourite for its all-day menu, where you’ll find a mix of long-held traditional dishes amongst newer classics, from classic pastrami and roast beef sandwiches to breakfast burritos and bagels with all the toppings you could imagine.
The Polo Lounge, Beverly Hills Hotel
Situated in the iconic Beverly Hills Hotel, The Polo Lounge is a Hollywood institution, famed for its candy-striped ceilings and palm-tree-and-flower-filled patio. It’s the perfect place to enjoy Italian-influenced American cuisine for lunch or dinner, served with a side of live piano and potentially an A-lister sighting.
El Coyote
El Coyote is a little further afield, but its delicious food and unabashed high-energy atmosphere make it well-worth the short drive. Opened in 1931, this traditional Mexican restaurant is famed for its colorful interiors and menu of reliable classics like freshly made guacamole, tacos, tamales and enchiladas. Wash it down with one of their made-to-order margaritas from their extensive cocktail menu.
MUST VISIT
Erewhon
A few doors down from our store, Erewhon is a must-visit, even if food shopping isn’t on your agenda. The upscale health + wellness-focused grocery store prides itself on its organic produce and freshly prepared to-go meals and snacks. But it’s their colorful, superfood-loaded smoothies, made fresh to order, that have helped them gain a viral cult following.
Francis Gallery
Founded in 2019 by fellow Brit Rosa Park, Francis Gallery is an intimate gallery with a transatlantic presence, one on LA’s famed Melrose Ave. and the second in the historic British city of Bath. The space displays the work of an extensive roster of artists against a thoughtfully minimal backdrop inspired by historic Korean design, including a curved wall in the centre of the gallery modelled after 15th-century porcelain moon jars, and an outdoor space that draws on traditional hanok courtyards.
The Spa at The Maybourne
Located in one of Beverly Hills’ most luxurious hotels, The Spa at the Maybourne is a place to escape the noise of the city. Experiences include a mosaic-walled mineral-soak pool and a selection of ladies-only spaces, including sauna, steam, and hot tub access. Expert treatments range from massages with breathwork and custom essential oils to classic facial and skincare options.
Chateau Marmont
An iconic fixture of LA’s Sunset Boulevard since the 1920s, the Chateau Marmont Hotel is a must-visit, whether it’s to stay, eat, or drink. Steeped in Hollywood history, the striking, castle-like, turreted form is inspired by a real-life chateau in France’s Loire Valley and has counted a long list of famous residents, including Marilyn Monroe, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Katherine Hepburn. The interior boasts cosy rooms and vaulted ceilings, and the hotel’s private outdoor space includes an elegant courtyard restaurant and a secluded pool surrounded by lush gardens.
RETAIL THERAPY
Gearys Beverly Hills
One of our close neighbors on North Beverly Drive, Gearys is a cornerstone of luxury retail with humble 1930s beginnings as a local hardware and homewares store. It's renowned for its curated selection of luxury watches (including Rolex and Patek Philippe), fine jewelery, home décor, and gifts. The spacious store is decorated to the nines with seasonal displays, making it well worth a visit, even if it's just for window shopping.
The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills
If there’s one thing Brits are well equipped to spot (other than when it's going to rain), it’s good cheese. Which brings us to our next stop, The Cheese Store of Beverly Hills. The store has been supplying the neighborhood since the 1970s, and now stocks over 600 varieties of imported cheese - including British stilton and Scottish + Irish cheddar, of course - alongside freshly made pastas, charcuterie and gourmet foods + drinks.
ME+EM
The home of British style in LA, and we don’t just mean the clothes. We’ve called on some of our favourite UK designers to make our new store feel like home. The one-of-a-kind rugs are by carpet weaver Tim Page, bespoke upholstery in our signature colors is from London-based designer Rose Uniacke, and custom-crafted bookcases display a selection of art and fashion books, classic literature, and a few personal favourites from Founder and CEO, Clare Hornby OBE.
