We’re taking our obsession with tailoring a step further with a forensic examination of contemporary power dressing through the lens of proportion, shape, fabric + color. But don’t worry, no experimenting is needed on your part. We’ve tested the methodology and cracked the formula for the perfect suit, and now we’re sharing the results, starting with the facts, followed by a deep dive on each new style.

This season, we’re introducing a new blazer shape: the Slim Contour Blazer. A season-spanning neutral color and a clever combination of intelligent details give this style instant-classic status. 

This suit is all about silhouette elongation. High-cut notched lapels and a longline cut create the illusion of a longer torso, and darted seams that follow a subtle, longer curve at the waist create a softer fit than the traditional super-nipped-in look. Topstitched raised seams down the sleeves maintain a clean look, while the contrasting buttons make a statement when the blazer is left undone; when fastened, two are concealed for a contemporary, minimal look.

It’s impossible to talk about the importance of proportion without shining a spotlight on our Oversized Blazer, and its new shorter length. A fairly new style that’s become an instant icon throughout our collections, the Oversized Blazer is the product of a lot of thought and experimentation. The key to getting that relaxed, boxy look without overwhelming the figure is scale. The shape is exaggerated, but not so much that it looks like it’s hanging off you, and the sleeves are fitted with secret elastic, so when you push them up, they stay in the perfect scrunch.

After we perfected the Oversized Blazer, we wanted to expand your shape options, so now it's available in a cropped length. It has all the same intelligently scaled proportions (and hidden sleeve elastic) as the original, but the shorter length gives it two major bonuses. It works as an oversized shape for petite heights, and also makes it ideal for wearing over long dresses or with tailored pants for the perfect hem-to-waist alignment. This style also has the clever addition of an under-collar button, so you can fasten it into a stand neckline.

It’s our signature blazer shape, which you’ll find in every collection, for good reason. Structured shoulders, softly contoured waist seams, and the longline hem deliver a perfectly balanced silhouette. 

To put a fresh spin on this classic cut, we’re adding texture to the mix with an Italian jacquard fabric. It’s softly structured and woven with a floral pattern throughout for a subtle lift. Despite its muted statement fabric, this version of the Sharp Shoulder cuts a more casual edge thanks to large patch pockets, a tailoring feature traditionally reserved for more relaxed suiting styles. 

Choose your pants fit between the wide leg that’s elongated with topstitched front creases, or the Straight Crop that’s the ultimate in-between shape - not quite slim, not quite wide.

Confident color is the cornerstone of all our collections, and this season it’s all about Tangerine Orange, aka your dose of vitamin C delivered in a precisely tailored form.

The precisely tailored form in question? The Soft Sculpt Jacket. Aptly named after its clever balance of fitted lines and soft fabric, which together deliver a sculpting effect, without feeling restrictive. It bridges the gap between a blazer and a jacket by combining classic tailoring codes like notched lapels, flap pockets, and a single back vent with a weightier Italian tailoring fabric crafted from organic cotton and viscose and featuring a tweed-like texture.
