The process behind every collection we design is to make sure you have everything you need to build multiple top-to-toe outfits from one investment. The thinking behind our new capsule collection of bags is an extension of that, the final stop to ensuring all your bases are covered.
Designed in our London studio and made in Italy from the softest leather, these bags are the perfect finishing touch to the SS20 collection. We’ve been very selective with colours, picking shades that complement this season’s colour palette, but that will also go with everything in your wardrobe.
“I don’t like branded bags, so we have avoided any statement branding save the bespoke metal buckle that sits on the front,” says Clare. “It has a very subtle imprint on the front that is inspired by classic jewellery.”

The Maddy
Our larger bag is named after my eldest daughter. It was inspired by my overuse of a cross body to carry all my things from one meeting to another, both when I’m in the office and when I’m out and about – otherwise I’m destined to lose my phone or other essentials.
Without being too cumbersome, this bag is still big enough to hold a large smartphone, key makeup staples, a wallet. It has a long, adjustable crossbody strap so that you can go hands-free for practicality, but you can also remove that and carry it by the top handle for a particularly polished look.

The Grace
Named after my younger daughter, this bag was designed to be a practical addition to an evening outfit.
Smaller yet still with enough room to house essentials including a large smartphone, we added a sleek pocket at the back to hold your cards so that you have even more room inside. The long gold chain was inspired by vintage jewellery, but we rounded off the edges to make sure it’s comfortable to wear across the body or on the shoulder.
What's in Clare's Bag
When it came to designing the dimensions of the Maddy, I wanted to make sure that all the essentials could fit: my house and car keys, ear pods, card holder and so on. Like many of us, my iPhone is critical but it also happens to be sizeable (I have an iPhone Max) so I needed to make sure it could fit in along with everything else.
I’m obsessed with Dr Lipp. I’ve tried endless lip balms, and this is without question the very best, so I always have a tube with me. I also always carry my Stack from Trinny London. It’s the most genius design: all the makeup I need in one compact tube, so I don’t need to lug around a makeup bag anymore.
I’m constantly on the go and need to have all my things in one place, without carrying a heavy bag around with me. The sturdy but lightweight design means this bag can house everything I need without hurting my shoulder: a dream.
