ME+EM are committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethics in every area of our business. Over the past twelve months, this has been a specific focus and we are excited to be able to share these initiatives with you very soon.
In November 2017 we were accepted as a foundation member of The Ethical Trading Initiative. The ETI is an extraordinary organisation that brings together member companies, trade unions and voluntary organisations to bring about long-term change and respect for workers worldwide.
We are currently reviewing and updating all elements of our packaging to ensure we are operating in the most environmentally conscious way.
+ All our look books are printed on PEFC Certified paper from sustainably-managed forests and controlled sources.
+ All our cardboard boxes are made from recycled materials.
+ Whilst we do use FSC-approved tissue paper with our packaging, we keep this to a minimum.
+ Our mailing bags are fully recyclable and biodegradable.
Collaborative relationships with our manufacturing partners are at the heart of our business. We work with suppliers all over the world: Portugal, Italy, China, Turkey, Spain, Nepal, India and the UK. We are proud that our collections reflect the best raw materials and sourcing we can find.
+ Our leather products are sourced from the best available suppliers, produced in a sustainable and responsible manner, and must only ever be obtained as a by-product.
+ ME+EM do not use real fur or pelts in any of our products.
+ We are committed to providing ME+EM clothes for charitable events.
+ To date, we have worked with the FSID (Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths), Macmillan Cancer Support, The Warwickshire Hospice, Treehouse, Ambitious about Autism and Starlight and the British Heart Foundation.
+ In the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire, we have been working alongside businesses in the local community to provide financial assistance toward counselling support for those affected.
