Spotlight on ME+EM

Clare reveals the secret of her style success

“A contemporary but practical and hard-working wardrobe for every age”

Featured in the April edition, ME+EM founder and creative director Clare sat down with Red magazine to give readers an inside look at the brand she founded a decade ago.

On trousers

“Undoubtedly its most celebrated offering is its trousers, which are incredibly flattering and cool, but still manage to be very suitable for work”

It’s no secret that we’re obsessed with trousers. Talking about our signature styles, Clare says:

“Each season we take our core shapes and reinvent them in new fabrics and colours. They take you from effortlessly from day to evening.”

On our stores

“A visit to one of her five stores in central London or Selfridges concessions (in London and Manchester) is highly recommended for tailored advice.” Clare says,

“We make sure that customers enjoy luxury-level service when they shop with us so that it feels more personal.”

On her personal style

“I have lots of pairs of wide-leg trousers. Tailoring makes me feel pulled-together but styling it with a cool pair of trainers and T-shirt adds a modern edge. Because I mainly wear ME+EM, I invest in accessories that work around that. I like Marni for bags, Chloe for jewellery, Gianvito Rossi for heels and Common Projects for trainers.”
