One year on

Working to support all those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire

Marking the anniversary of the Grenfell Tower fire

Our offices are based a few streets away from Grenfell Tower. Every day we’re met with the charred remains of a building that housed hundreds of families, children and individuals. Every day we pass the heart-breaking home-made shrines to the brothers, sisters, parents, children and friends who have been lost. Working literally in the shadow of the tower, we feel profoundly connected to the long-term devastation around us, and to the community trying to rebuild itself.

It is absolutely imperative that we help support the many families and individuals affected as they gradually find a way forward.

Raising much-needed funds

On Thursday 14th June, the one-year anniversary of the fire, we will be donating £10 from every order to three leading national charities that are providing expert help for the community.

Child Bereavement UK supports parents and children affected by family bereavement.

Winston’s Wish provides support for children and young adults coping with the death of a parent or sibling.

Place 2 Be provides direct mental health support for children, parents and teachers in the schools and nurseries based near Grenfell Tower.

These charities provide open access drop-in services, a helpline, training, and one-to-one family and group support interventions and are based in a dedicated centre in the community, able to respond immediately to requests for assistance and advice. Many private counsellors and therapists have generously offered their support to the community, and these specialists are able to use the centre, ensuring that there is a single point of contact for those living and working in the area.
